Sue Hellrigel is Vice President of Marketing at MMI, where she leads marketing strategy, digital presence, and customer engagement in support of MMI's mission to provide financial counseling and education nationwide. She oversees multi-channel marketing initiatives including digital performance marketing, customer lifecycle engagement, and public relations, ensuring alignment between data-driven strategy, regulatory requirement, and mission-focused customer experience.

Sue brings extensive experience in financial services marketing, with deep expertise in direct-to-consumer growth, go-to-market strategy, marketing automation, and performance optimization. Prior to joining MMI, Sue spent nearly twenty years at Wells Fargo in a series of marketing leadership roles including partnering closely with the servicing team to assist with outreach during major national events such as the housing crisis and COVID-19.

Throughout her career, Sue has led many cross-functional teams, working closely with product, sales, operations, and compliance to deliver integrated marketing strateies in a highly regulated environment. She has led initiatives to modernize marketing technology platforms for sales teams, enhance customer journeys, improve conversion, and ensure messaging consistency and brand alignment while maintaining focus on efficiency, scalability, and measurable impact.

Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Rhode Island and is a licensed financial advisor with a Series 7 and 66 license. She is actively engaged in community and nonprofit initiatives and currently serves as a Kiva Ambassador, supporting global financial inclusion efforts.
