Bonnie Wallace is Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Opportunity Philanthropy for the Wells Fargo Foundation, where she leads one of the largest corporate philanthropic portfolios in the United States focused on expanding financial opportunity. She directs the Foundation’s investments, partnerships, and enterprise capabilities to strengthen financial resilience, advance economic mobility, and create pathways to long-term wealth building.
With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Bonnie brings deep expertise across strategy, product and business development, marketing, sales, operations, and performance optimization. Since joining Wells Fargo in 2006, she has held leadership roles across consumer lending and enterprise initiatives, consistently driving innovation and cross-sector collaboration.
Bonnie is recognized for her leadership in modernizing financial education and capability-building—leveraging technology to scale access to high-quality tools, personalized insights, and guided experiences that help individuals take meaningful action. Her approach integrates digital solutions with human-centered support, enabling a flexible model that can reach broad audiences while also delivering more tailored, high-touch interventions when needed.
She has also advanced approaches grounded in the belief that financial capability is most effective when it is relevant, trusted, and shaped by real-world context.
