Amanda Ree leads Wildfire Long-Term Recovery Programs at the American Red Cross, overseeing multi-million dollar recovery operations across major U.S. wildfire disasters, including the 2018 Camp Fire, the 2023 Maui wildfire, and the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. She brings proven, repeatable recovery programs to each disaster, working collaboratively with partners to shape recovery around the specific needs of each community. Amanda spent the first 15 years of her career in sub-Saharan Africa, leading humanitarian response across multiple countries and crises, before returning to the U.S. in 2016.
She holds a Master's in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University and lives in Northern California with her partner and three children.
