Ted Rossman.

Ted Rossman is the Principal Consumer Finance Analyst at Money Management International (MMI), where he helps advise Americans on how to maximize their money. Ted is passionate about helping consumers get out of debt, grow their savings, and invest for their futures.

Ted regularly shares his expertise with major media organizations such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Today Show and CNBC. His advice has been featured by hundreds of TV, radio, and print/online outlets. A longtime financial industry observer, Ted connects the dots between the macroeconomy and consumers, offering practical analysis and recommendations.

Previously, Ted spent 15 years at Bankrate, where he most recently served as a media spokesperson, industry analyst, and content creator, tracking consumer finance trends and behavior. Ted was an inaugural recipient of MMI’s Financial Learning and Empowerment in Communities (FLEC) Awards in 2021.

Before moving to the other side of the camera, Ted was Bankrate’s Public Relations Director. Among other honors, he and his team won a Big Apple Award from the New York Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America for educating consumers about personal finance and an American Business Award (“Stevie”) for financial communications.

When he’s not working, Ted enjoys spending time with his wife and two school-aged daughters, who keep him busy between dance recitals, soccer games, swim lessons, and more. They live in a suburb of New York City.

A 2006 graduate of Colgate University, Ted’s childhood dream was to be a sports announcer. While it’s not quite the Super Bowl, he finds great fulfillment in going on TV and other mediums to help people improve their finances. You can reach him at ted.rossman@moneymanagement.org.
