How to celebrate America Saves Week? With rap, of course.

February 22-March 1 is America Saves Week, a week dedicated to encouraging consumers to review their savings progress and take action to advance this progress. There are many America Saves coalition members participating in pro-savings activities this week (our ColoradoSaves team was taking viewer calls on live television at 5am this morning!) If you happen to miss out on the action, I would like to offer you four simple ways to participate. 1. Use the free online Ballpark E$timate on ChooseToSave.org to quickly approximate how much you need to save for retirement. 2. Set at least one financial goal that will help you meet your savings need. 3. Make a commitment to your goal by printing and displaying a goal certificate. 4. For inspiration, check out some very clever PSAs developed by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) . My favorite is this rap by the superhero $avingsman:
