How to celebrate America Saves Week? With rap, of course.

February 22-March 1 is America Saves Week, a week dedicated to encouraging consumers to review their savings progress and take action to advance this progress. There are many America Saves coalition members participating in pro-savings activities this week (our ColoradoSaves team was taking viewer calls on live television at 5am this morning!) If you happen to miss out on the action, I would like to offer you four simple ways to participate. 1. Use the free online Ballpark E$timate on to quickly approximate how much you need to save for retirement. 2. Set at least one financial goal that will help you meet your savings need. 3. Make a commitment to your goal by printing and displaying a goal certificate. 4. For inspiration, check out some very clever PSAs developed by the Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI) .
