Are services available in Spanish?
Services are available in English and Spanish. Additional languages are available via an interpreter service.
Can you refinance my home?
MMI is not a lender. We do not provide consumer loans. We can, however, help you connect with your lender or mortgage servicer to begin rehabilitating your delinquent mortgage.
Can you stop my foreclosure?
We are not attorneys and we cannot stop a lawful foreclosure. However, you may still have the ability to save your home, which is why it's important to speak with a qualified foreclosure counseling specialist as soon as possible.
How soon will I receive my certificate?
Certificates are available immediately at the successful conclusion of your session. They can be distributed via email, fax, or standard mail.
Will this be reported to the IRS?
We do not report any information to the IRS. Your counseling session is confidential and your participation will not be disclosed to any third party without your permission.
Will you talk to my lender or landlord?
Your counseling session is completely confidential. We won't speak to any third party unless you ask us to.
Is there a cost to use your services?
Most counseling and education is provided at no cost. We have a few select low-cost services and there are fees associated with using our debt management plan. However, you may be eligible for reduced or waived fees. Ask your counselor for more details.
