Chief Relationship Officer

John Fisher joined MMI in December, 2012. As its Chief Relationship Officer, he leads teams focused on the building and maintaining of relationships with organizations that recommend MMI for counseling and other services. He also oversees CrissCross Representative Payee Services, Paragon agency services, and our association and government relationships.

Prior to joining MMI, Mr. Fisher was President and CEO of Take Charge America (TCA), a national nonprofit credit counseling and financial education organization founded in 1987. Mr. Fisher spent 21 years as an executive in capital funding and leasing. From 1999 to 2003, he was Vice President, Municipal Leasing at the LaSalle Bank in Chicago. From 1982 to 1999, he held increasingly responsible executive positions at U.S. Leasing Corp., AT&T Capital, and Heller Financial, the latter of which he served as Vice President, Regional Sales Manager.

Mr. Fisher earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, the nation’s leading association for nonprofit credit counseling.
