April is Financial Literacy Month – and we’ve been looking forward to celebrating all year!

Don’t know what Financial Literacy Month is? Not sure why it’s such a big deal? Good! You’ve got a lot to learn – and we have a lot of wisdom to impart upon your eager mind. Luckily for you, you could also win cash for participating. That is how important Financial Literacy Month is.

Joining the Financial Literacy Month Challenge is easy. Visit or find us on Facebook to sign up, and then share something with us related to one of the steps. You could submit a photo capturing your frugality in action, a story about reaching a financial goal or a financial tip you feel others may find valuable – however the day’s tip inspires you, simply share it for a chance to win. It’s that simple.

Three winners will be chosen at random upon the conclusion of Financial Literacy Month. Each of the three winners will receive a cash prize, which we encourage you to put toward your financial goal – whatever that may be. The prizes are:

  • First place: $500
  • Second place: $300
  • Third place: $200

I've had some real "ah-ha" moments these last 6 months. After working from home for the last 30 years, I quit my very good job and launched into business ownership. It has been rewarding and eyeopening at the same time. I am much more savvy about where my money goes and am always exploring ways to stretch our dollars. Credit cards have been pared down to ONE, frivolous expensive cut, and I am even taking an Extreme Couponing class tomorrow. The rewards of being home more for our kids have made the hardships so worthwhile. My goal now is to stay financially independent and inspired other working women to do the same. Thanks for offering this wonderful opportunity.

I am a single mom, and when I came to contact MMI, I was in a moment of my life that i thought the only solution there was for me was to throw myself out of a bridge and to just end it . and at least my daughter did not have to deal with a messup mom. but i had a way out and MMI were the ones that were able to reach out to me and bring me this change of chance and betterness. for my life. and i thank them because i could keep my job and to even get a new job. the best for the personel at this firm and to continue bringing excellent customer service.

When I came here, I was told to declare bankruptcy and just walk away from my investments, and I almost did. But I hit that wall instead and with a lot of research, here and elsewhere, have helped me turn things around and am now putting something away each month. Thank you.
