Free Community Events Offers Financial Education for Savers

Hattiesburg, MS (February 24, 2014) – In honor of America Saves Week, a national campaign created to help individuals and families take steps to build wealth and financial security through saving, Money Management International (MMI) has joined Mayor DuPree along with his other appointed financial education partners, in hosting Hattiesburg Saves Week. This important community event provides local residents with free access to important financial education programs. The event kicks off on February 24, and runs through March 1, 2014.

"As a local financial education partner and a full-service financial education and counseling resource for local Hattiesburg residents, we are really excited about participating in this free community financial education initiative," said Julie McAdory, regional education director for MMI.

Local residents are invited to take part in the following educational events:

  • Hattiesburg Saves – Lunch & Learn Savings Education Seminars
    Monday, February 24 & Tuesday, February 25 from 11 AM – 1 PM 300 East 5th Street, C.E. Roy Community Center

  • Parents Credit Workshop
